Welcome back Maremare312!

Man, why is it so quiet today?  Are you all crafting for the next round?

Yesterday Lana had a first.  She made friends with a ton of girls at the playground and played hide and go seek with them.  It was hilarious seeing all of them hiding and peeking and hearing all the screaming.  Smiley

Last night I finally finished a chain maille choker for a friend.  Phew!  So now I can get back to crafting for this swap. Yay!  Stay tuned for lots of jewelry.  I am on a flower kick.  I hope you'll join me.

Hey maremare312!  I like your new avatar pic.  Smiley

I forgot to let you know but my son was born on the 7th.    The booties you made him fit really well.  I need to take a pic and send them to you, they are super cute!
(maremare312 made my kiddos some great crocheted slippers.  Cowboy boots for the boy and a pair of MJs for my girl.)

We are in the process of switching over to cloth diapers.  Would love some advice, hint, tips.   Will swap for diapers!

Hey all, what's up today?

I was thinking about going to the library to see if they had any craft books for inspiration.  But it's still pretty cold, only about 32 degrees.  The snow is melting a little, but it can't be much above freezing outside.  Last time I went to the library, over a year ago, they didn't have much of anything.  But they've remodeled since then, maybe they got some new books too.

I'm bored.  Should I work on more embroidery for my shop?  I can't get to the store to get more hankies right now, but I do have a couple kitchen towels.  And I can do stuff on plain fabric, for you all who sew to embellish items with, if there's any interest.

What kinds of themes do you like?  Off the top of my head, I know I have several Sublime Stitching patterns (unicorns & rainbows, gothic, sushi, dia de los muertos, etc.) and some Aunt Martha's patterns (owls, suns & moons, wine country, fruits, etc.)  Also lots of old patterns from Workbasket magazine, and some vintage ones that Alteredmommy so kindly sent to me.   Smiley

Wow.  It's been freaky-quiet here over the last coupla days, hey?

I'm just putting a question out there... I have a knit purse that I've knit all the bits to, but don't have any fabric to line it with.  I'm looking for something with a complimentary colour, perhaps something with paisleys or little bitty flower bud pattern.  Something like that?  Does anyone have anything on hand that they think would work and they'd like to part w/ ?  The bag is small-ish, so I wouldn't need a tonne of fabric.  And I don't know much about sewing, so would a cotton print be what I should use?  Help?

Pic for colour reference:

Now that I look at it, it's sort of a crappy pic.  But it's a sort of deep plummy colour? But a bit heathered?

Oh, and does anyone have any mother of pearl buttons that they'd like to part w/ as well?  Or a braided leather one for this purse?

The colour that that is showing up as on my screen is gorgeous, even if it isn't accurate! Can't help on the fabric front though, sorry.
