Hey i was wondering for those of you who have made the Frou Frou or even if you know about yarn what yarn would you recomend for one? a cheaper yar that i could probally get at a store like michaels. i have been dying to make one just am not sure what warn to use... i really like the yarn that the original designer of the pattern Suz_Anne  made it in in the orange-ish

Basically, any worsted/heavy worsted weight yarn (18 stitches/4 in. on the label).  But note that the pattern uses a yarn that weighs very little in relation to the yardage.  I made one version with heavy worsted acrylic (label 18 stitches, but more like 16/17 in real life), and it felt like a coat more than a sweater.  I started another with Lion Brand Woolease, that's much lighter than most inexpensive yarns.

You can also check the finished Frou Frous on Craftster to see what everyone used.  Good luck!
