My Aunt owns several of the most loveable Dachshunds I've seen, so I had to make this for her when I found the pattern:

(Yes, we certainly do still have the Christmas tree up; it's our favorite household decoration...neither of us wants to take it down!)

I used some craft felt that had a beautiful swirly pattern on it, buttons for the eyes and a Darice eye (with a long post) hot glued into the snout for the nose.

Here's where I found the (free!) pattern:

I shrank it down quite a bit for my tiny things fascination, but if you make it full size you can do all the small features I left out (like toes!).

People who take time to be alone usually have depth, originality, and quiet reserve.

He's missing his liver. That's how some kids react to the cafeteria food. The lucky ones.

Adorable! I've had that pattern bookmarked for a while now but I keep forgetting to buy fabric in the right color (was thinking of making one to look like my cousin's dog). But anyway, very cute. Your aunt is lucky. ^_^

Runo's patterns rock.... I have a few dolls from her patterns.... but I love what you have done with this pattern... felt is the best.
