i was bored on a rainy day and started this little project. i don't know what it is. i don't know much about needlework, i just wanted to make this little Kurt Halsey owl with thread and a needle. also, i couldn't decide which pic was less blurry, or lighter, so i put them both.

i am sorry, Kurt Halsey for using your work without your permission, i just love this little owl so much. i am not using it to sell or anything, so i hope i am not infringing on copyright. i just redrew this on a piece of fabric with a pencil and went over it in thread. sorry.

Personal swap maybe yes please? PM me! i like making new friends. Smiley

aww it's so cute.  i thought it looked Kurt Halsey-esque.   Smiley
and don't worry about using it...i think as long as you don't plan on selling it it's fine and he's fine with it.  i embroidered one of his kitties awhile ago (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=116759.msg1115827#msg1115827) and i posted it in the Kurt Halsey LJ community, which he's a member of and reads, and he didn't say anything, so i'm sure your owl is fine.

This is so adorable. I haven't thought about recreating his work other than the sublime stitching patterns. What a great idea and I love the green around the owl. Is it just and outline or are they leaves?

well they were supposed to be leaves, but it sort of came out as an outline. it also got too close to the owl's head at the top, but by that point i was bored of the project already and didn't care.
