I thought it would be interesting to start a knitalong for beginners with the "Hot Head" pattern from SnB.  This will be my first decrease project, so im pretty excited! I'll be making this beanie for my boyfriend.
Does anyone want to join? Smiley

I'm planning to go to the YS tomorrow to pick up some Lamb's Pride Bulky and 6.5mm knitting needles ( i only have a 5mm, so that wont work, haha),  so hopefully I can start soon.  Tongue

I did one already in a single color, but I'm ready to try a multi colored one. I'll knit right along with you!

Sure, I'd like to join! As long as it's relatively easy, lol. This is my first decrease project too!

It knits up a lot easier than you think. My challenge is to get the multi color thing going.

I read through the pattern instructions this morning and rewrote everything so nothing was abbreviated, i think it will help me out so i wouldn't get confused while I am knitting it up.  Grin  The only thing I'm not so sure about is that fact that I have to sew up the crown part, but when I get there maybe it wont be that bad?  Smiley
Now all i have to do is go to the yarn store and pick up the yarn and needles, ill be going with my bf and he's planning on buying it for me as a little treat, and also because he will be there to pick out the "right" colors, i think he's scared that id pick up bright blue or something. im SO excited about doing this. BTW thank you ladies, for joining me!

the colors my bf wants are blue and gray. The same colors that my BROTHER wants for his scarf that I will be making too. what a variety of color... Cheesy

Okie dokie, i sorta had to change plans, so right now im making a *pink hot head beanie instead, so far so good. Has anyone started to work on the beanie? im getting ready to knit row 13:

*the picture seriously sucks, i was low on batteries so when i took this picture the flash didn't work and the color is off.

I made a single-color one for my dad last night.  He loves it, and I'm so proud cuz it's my first hat!

Here it is, modeled by my glass head:

My embarrassing admission is that I really like that you're nice, right now.

Right now i have 8 more rows to do and then ill need to sew it up. im gonna try to finish it today, and when i do, Ill post it.  Smiley

Thanks!  The hat took a few hours to knit up, but I'm a medium-slow knitter.  I plan on making tons more, too.

My embarrassing admission is that I really like that you're nice, right now.
