Wow~

I can't believe I haven't already posted this, but Christmas was quite busy for me! Anyway, this is an Amigurumi doll that I made, via crochet, for my Secret Santa friend, Sarah. She is really into vampires, so I wanted to create an "Avatar" of herself with the 'vampire' part in mind. My friend calls her Kida.

{My own Avatar would be with a bunny, personally, and I have a few more Avatar-gurumi's in production for other friends!}

Larger Image: here.

The hair, corset, arm warmers, leggings and skirt are all patternless, I did that through trail and error. But the general doll pattern I got from the book: Amigurumi: Super Happy Crochet Cute by Elisabeth Doherty - It's a fantastic book, I reccomend it for anyone who is a fan of Amigurumi!

I don't really like the size of the doll's head. LOL I know that's weird, but I find the head very large, and the legs and arms are just not very shapely. ^__^ They are like thick tubes, and I don't enjoy that.

So, while it great to have the pattern, I'm already making my own pattern, based on the last dolls I've done - in the hopes that I can eventually sell the pattern, or sell the dolls I make! ^___^

LOL I know! I like the proportion of the head and body, but I think I'd like to do a smaller sized doll. This doll is around 15" high, and her head is larger than one hand can hold! XD

LOL Thank you spaceXbunny - I laughed pretty hard when I read that. I'm sure your friends are just talented in other ways! ^___^

Thank you BlueCherryFaerie - I love her too. I was sad to see her go, but now I can work on my next doll!
