hi, new here & typing this while nursing a 4 month old.
so happy to have found this place!

i made this mat for my 4 year old for yule/christmas.

it's also a reversible drawstring bag.

my husband made the frame. the garden is corduroy & cotton batting, the veggies are mostly wool w/some embroidery floss

these veggies can be planted over & over, *I* play with it! Grin now i just need some implements.

i gave her a set of mini wooden cooking/dinnerware & a small chest to store them my daughter added rocks and other small treasures. the gourds are homes under construction. the other dolls were gifts from yule '06.

I love your vegetables, they are so cute. Your four year is going to have so much fun with it (and it looks it).

What an adorable idea! My mother-in-law made a "moon mat" for my 3-year-old son with some little spaceships, and I've been thinking of making a farm scene, but I love the little garden and raised bed!

Two of my projects were chosen as Craftster Best of 2008! More tutorials at my blog: Stitch/Craft Creations
