I really dont know what measurements would fit a newborn. The sole in the pattern posted above is 11cm when scaled according to the reference mark.
This would fit a 3-6 month baby.

To make another size I would just measure the foot, add 2 cm + seam allowance I guess. Little feet needs room, and I think its better to make them a tad to big.

Just scale the whole pattern to the size you want on a printer/copier and the sole and top should both be in scale.

ETA: I would love to se pics If anyone makes a pair of these.

ah yes!  now i get it.. Embarrassed  my printer is being fixed so i will have to print this at work today and give it a shot...hope to be posting my results soon!  thank you  Smiley

Thank you Honeypie!!!  I will give these a go.  If the baby isn't walking yet do you think I could just go with fabric on the bottoms?  I've never sewn leather.

If the baby is not walking or standing up yet, you could definately use cotton as soles.
I guess there are other skid-free options than leather out there to use for soles for when the baby stands up.
