I used the pattern in snbn.  I used a ball of white mohair that i got from my grandmother.  I used sz 11 needles for the scarf, size 10.5 for the butterfly's wings, and sz 8 for the body. I used kool-aid dying for the butterfly.

I love your adaptation of the original pattern!  Here's hoping the pink butterfly and light scarf will add a bit of springy goodness to your cold winter days & nights. Great job!

This came out really lovely! I'm so impressed with your Kool Aid dye job too.  Made the 1 hour baby booties this weekend, but am intimidated by the mixing of blue koolaid and red to dye it.
