Hi all! Just wanted to show you the recon I did. I got the dress at the thrift store for 70 cents! Yep, thats right 70 cents. Not to mention it was brand spankin new too. So I asked my little one if she wanted a new skirt and of course she said yes soooo......here is what I came up with! And she loves it too. Hooray for mom!

I had to make a matching headband too.

The before:

Hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks for looking fellow craftster's!

That's really darn cute -- I'm impressed with your pleats -- I always gather and ruffle stuff, but avoid pleats because they seem like a lot more trouble.  Did you use a pattern?
Great job!

No, I did not use a pattern. I just had to wing it. At first it was not to hard until I tried it on her and did not fit on her properly. Reason why is she has small waist and bubble but! So I had to add the panel of fabric where the buttons are with some more pleats. Added darts, and some elastic and there you go. It finally fit good. I also used velcro for the closure, that worked perfectly too.

As for all the compliments, I thank you all very much. I honestly love this website for all of the inspiration it has! Its an obsession!

Thanks everybody!
