thank you so much for all of your nice comments!
@pixieval: i don't know how that joining method is called. i put 2 squares right side facing
each other together and then crocheted along. (i can post a pic of the backside if wanted)
@mbleep: yes, i found a lot of paterns at a german site,named nadelspiel.com
). there are a lot of videos on youtube,just search for
"nadelspiel" und "granny square". the videos are all in german,but i think it should
be possible to follow the instructions just by watching. i used like 4 patterns from the videos and then
combined them /altered them and some are completely made by myself.
the blocks are 12cm x 12cm (must be something like 5x5 inches).some are bigger,some smaller.it depends on
the pattern. (btw.there are 120 blocks in this blanket )
@LordVader: yeah! the blanket in roseanne totally inspired me to do that!
i think granny squares aren't that difficult to make. i'm sort of a beginner,too.i think you should
really try it,it's a great project to learn more about crocheting because it combines a lot of different
stitches. good luck!
