I have a paintbrush, and I'm not afraid to use it!

This painting sort of created itself. I've been on a roll recently Tongue

"The memories that now rest in this forest
Forever shadowing the sunrise of my heart
Wings leave their nest at my coming
Swaying away unto the cold glowing sky
Dreaming away for a while
My spirit sighs in peace
Gazing unto the stars
Please, take me there"
~"The Forest Of October" Opeth

Ink and watercolor on watercolor paper.

I listened to a whole lot of Opeth while I worked on this painting Cheesy

I would love your feedback.

This is lovely.  I'm not usually a fan of watercolor but this is beautiful.

I love it! Tragic and yet somehow serene at the same time.

Thanks everyone!

getmehaha, she's a 9x12. I think I'll frame her up to take to shows with me this year (and hopefully sell her Tongue). I thought about doing it digital, since it would have been infinately quicker and easier, but I wouldn't have had an original to tote around.

I'm about to work on a much larger piece that will use similar techniques, I'm excited Cheesy

Beautiful work! I love the splash of color in the midst of the black!

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.
