You are truly amazing. That is the most beautiful and creative wedding that I've ever seen. I don't know how anybody could have pulled it off, but you sure did. You thought of everything. I hope that you have a wonderful marriage. Congratulations!

Smiley Members of the SCA by any chance?

I'm not but my husband once was. Beloieve it or not I've never even been to a fair!! I just love that era!!

Those flower scrap bags sound awesome.  Do you mind my asking what store sells them?

It's a store called Gordon's but I think they're local to this area. Just check with any place that does silk arrangements. Even if they don't offer the bags you might put that idea in their heads OR they might just be nice and give you their scraps.

Our engagement lasted 14 months which is how long it took me to do all of this. When we came home from our honeymoon was when we cleaned up the mess from making all of this. Just before midnight the night before the wedding I was still sewing! I finished what I had to do, got up from the machine and went to a bar!!! Threw back a couple of beers then went to my friends to pass out. We awoke at 6 AM to start decorating and setting up.
We were the last guests at our wedding, we put in too much work to leave early. When it was all over we noticed that only 1 of the 3 kegs had been tapped so we gave one to Rick's sister who was going to turn 21 the following month and then took the other untapped one to our friends and threw a wedding after party! I staryed in my dress until 1AM!!!
Our friends still talk about that wedding like it just happened!!

I have to agree, that is really one of the most beautiful weddings I've seen.  Wow, you must seriously be so proud when you look at those photos - you should be!  I have always wanted a wedding where most of the stuff was made by me and my family and friends - I just think that must be so special to have it be so personal and such a work of love!

The dress, the fairies, the location, the cake..... I can't believe how perfect it looked.  Congratulations!
