I made this is dress in about three weeks for my wedding that I planned in about a month!! Literally blood, sweat & tears went into the making of this dress (did you know that the best thing to clean your  blood out of a wedding dress is your own spit? That's what I found out while pinning it together, ha ha !). The corset was altered from a strapless gown pattern, I forget which one but you could pretty much use any one.

The veil was super-easy to make, just a length of off-white tulle gathered just off the centre and attached to a store-bought tiara. I ironed some hot-fix crystals along the bottom, but you probably won't be able to see them  in the photos.

I also made a knit jersey shrug with hot-fix Swarovski crystals along the cuffs, literally two days before the wedding because they were forecasting a major snowstorm (it REALLY came in handy, especially during those cruel outdoor shots!).

All in all, I think it turned out quite nice, and the little group of silk roses on the back was a good way to hide a mistake I made on the corset.

Hope you like it & thanks for viewing!

Wow! I can't believe that is homemade-it's gorgeous! I really like the details on the corset.

And I love the last picture-everyone with that smile that says, "are we done? it's FREEZING out here."

Aww, I was a December bride too Smiley Living far south the weather isn't much of an issue, but a dear lady from church pulled her ermine coat out of storage and insited on loaning it to me for the big day, just in case...too bad it was 73 on the day of the wedding!

Great job on the hurry up dress! I was still hemming my bridesmaids' dresses on the morning of my wedding...
