I made this little baby a LONG time ago. Ok, so it was really only this summer after the 7th Harry Potter book came out, but it has been lying around for a while without being shared. It wants to be shared.

I got the font from some website and altered it slightly. I actually drew out most of the design by hand, which is a first for me. I usually do it all on Photoshop. I think that's why I'm more proud of it than some of my other stencilled shirts.

So, Fred and George (Oh God, Fred! I still haven't gotten over it yet) are my favorite characters from the books and I felt they were not utilized as they should have been in the 5th movie and the 6th and 7th books. Thus, I mde them a shirt. I was thinking about waiting until the 6th movie comes out so I can see their "official" logo for the twins' store, but I just went ahead and made my own instead.

Grammar Nazi note: I didn't realize until after the stencil was cut and transferred that I had put "Weasley's" instead of "Weasleys'" as it is in the book and as it should be if it is to be gramatically correct. However, technically, the version that I have is MORE accurate because, as we all know, Fred = Dead. Thus, one Weasley and the posessive is for only one person rather than more. *Sigh* Poor, poor Fred. And poor, twin-less George.

Anyway, on with the crafting:

Damn, I have a large head.

I was at work when I read about Hedwig. I had to continue to operate an amusement park ride with tears running down my face (don't worry, I was allowed to be reading at my position, there we only do something if the ride stops unexpectedly)

I really like your shirt. did you intend for it to look distressed? it almost looks like a painted wooden sign that would be above a doorway instead of just a logo. Cheesy

Oh man, I read that at work, too!

I read the part where Hedwig and Moody died on my lunch break and had to spend the rest of the day entering data into spreadsheets while trying to think of ways to sneak off for five minute intervals to read.

Thank god I was at home when I read the part about Fred. I remember it was about 2 in the morning and I was bawling my eyes out while trying not to wake my family. Why, J.K., why?

And about the stencil, I don't have it on my computer. Like I said, it was primarily drawn by hand then photocopied so I don't actually have an original copy.

And it's not really supposed to be distressed. It was just worn (and washed) with lots of love.
