this is the first post ive included a picture in... so i hope it works.

anyway, i made this hat for my boyfriend for christmas.  it was made of a heavy tweed, and is topstitched at the seams.  i used the eugina kim "saturday night hat" book (that he actually got me for a present for my birthday!), and it was pretty simple and fun--except the part about attaching the brim and band.  but it worked out fine after a little fiddling and deciding not to follow the directions.

so here we go!

Wow that is really awesome! You did an excellent job.

I love the Saturday Night Hat book. It's really cute and easy directions. I made the engineer's cap and want to make the sun hat next.

Really great looking hat. Cheesy I'll have to go and take a look at this book, does it come with patterns?

yes, i comes with simple patterns, that you need to enlarge on a copier.  some of the projects just have you follow the directions for the size of a circle.. or something.  the cocktail hats are the most fun..ive made a few of those. Smiley

That is amazing! Newsie hats are the best, although I think with your red lining, you win!

WOW!  It's freaking awesome!  I just bought the same book last week... I was wondering if there was a misprint on enlarging the pattern.  Did you have to enlarge the bill or the actual panels?  Thanks for sharing!!!
