Topic: beautiful red faux dupioni tablecloth...now what do i do?  (Read 1256 times)

I bought a gorgeous faux dupioni silk table cloth on clearence for 5.50$. It is 62inches by 103 inches and slightly rounded at the ends ( its an oval tablecloth) I saw it and *KNEW* it was the fabric for my little red dress I've been wanting. I'm a bigger-ish gal ( RTW 14-18 depending PAtterns 20-24) but every woman wants a sexy red dress she can put on and be the showstopper!

I'm 5'5,very short waisted ( there is less than 2.5 inches between my underbust and my natural waist line)
but I have great Gams ( legs lol) and a 32 inch insteam.

Bust-38 b-ish maybe C with a little "help" from the bra,

 waist 44,

hips 46.

I want a v neck ( i have a dispropotionately large neck/double chin)

and sleeveless ( but not halter...I need a bra otherwise I look flat chested...but a faux halter neck line would be great!!)

I would prefer a princess seam dress but I want it to "flow".

I am a decent "alter-er/reconstructionist* AKA I make it fit but patterns scare me!

Hmm. Your figure problems are different from mine--I'd kill to have great legs!--but scanning my recently-bought patterns, I'm seeing Simplicity 3526 and Simplicity 3785, Vogue 7994, and Vogue 7995 as possibilities.

BTW, I buy tablecloths for the fabric, too!
