Organizers: sunspotted and TwiztidBlood

*IMPORTANT PM INFO*: When sending PMs, please label them as OWS 30 with one of the following tags:
Package sent
Package received

So when sending the questionnaire, the subject will read OWS 30 Approval. When notifying us about sending and receiving packages, add the corresponding tag. If you just have a general question, label it as that. This will keep things organized for us!
When sending a sent/received PM, please include the 'Send by' date so my craziness will stay at a minimum.

Please bookmark this thread and/or post here. All updates will be made here and this will help you to keep up with everything.

How This Swap Works:
Please READ CAREFULLY! This swap works differently than most!

Try to imagine a chain.  The first link is the first person whose wish list is on page 1 (Person A) - that will be the craftster member who was the very last wish list from ongoing wish swap 29.

Now, we want to put another link in the chain.  People will read that list and see if there is something they want to/can make from the list.

Someone (Person B) will claim Person A for some item on their wish list.  They post a reply to the thread that says I claim Person A for [item].  This is my X claim (however many times they have picked someone for example, "this is my fourth wish, with one sent, and three received, (meaning that this is the fourth claim they've made, one is in transit to it's destination, and three of the items have been received by the people they previously claimed).  Also add your location, and any preferences or aversions I live in Wisconsin USA, I am a vegetarian, and I am allergic to wool.

IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!  This means you need to post who you are claiming and for what, how many claims you have made, including how many in transit and how many received, and your location/preferences/aversions.

Then comes the fun part!  After the introduction, Person B is the last link in the chain, and they post their wish list!!!  YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY ITEMS ON YOUR WISH LIST AS YOU WANT, HOWEVER YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF SIX.  THE MORE ITEMS YOU LIST, THE BETTER YOUR CHANCES OF BEING CLAIMED QUICKLY.

(Please have your list ready, this swap moves very quickly!  Please include your country at the start of your wish list). Person B will also PM Person A to get her address so they can mail the item when it is finished.

Along comes Person C, who claims Person B for something on their list and the chain is built, link by link.  (If Person C wanted to make Person B a purse AND a stuffie, that would still count as ONE WISH.)  Then they post their list, and so on.

When you want to make a claim, you can ONLY pick from the very last wish list in the chain.  You can't pick anyone else in the chain - you can only connect to the very end of the chain, which is that last wish list posted.

After you have made your claim, you need to PM that person for their address.

Friends of Craftster are allowed 3 wishes at one time, others are allowed 2 wishes.  If this is your first swap, you are only allowed one wish until your craft is received for this month.  Do not choose over your given limit.
If you already have one claim that will be sent out late, please don't claim again until that one is sent out.

Become a Friend of Craftster!  Go here: https://www.craftster.org/subscribe.php

If you are at your limit of wishes, you can choose again once one of your partners receives, NOT when you send.
***Do not claim someone unless you can fulfill that wish to a high caliber***

Let's keep the quality high here. I don't want to receive PMs with people concerned over the lack of quality of their items.  Please, just work your hardest to keep the bar high on the quality of items here!  Don't choose just for the sake of choosing; choose to make someone else a really AWESOME wish!

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last wish should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides to craft for them. Please make sure this is not you!

Unsure of where to find wish ideas?  Try the previous ongoing wish swap galleries or any other gallery on craftster.  Look through your fellow crafters wist lists.

Please be communicative if you are having any issues. If you communicate you still need to send your item in a timely manner.  Communication does not mean you can send as late as you want.  After one week past the deadline you will have negative feedback.  This is only temporary as it will be changed back once you fulfill your obligation for late item(s).  Do not choose to craft an item if you do not think you can meet these deadlines.

I will be giving feedback in the following way:
-  great swapper: for those who follow all the rules
-  good/poor communication:  where applicable
-  sent late/early: where applicable
-  no dc number: failed to comply with the rule about using a delivery confirmation number for packages within your own country
- didn't post pictures: failed to post pictures of what they received without an adequate explanation to their partner

As there seems to be a short break in my "hauling drunk people around" schedule tonight, I thought I'd start up the claiming.
bkrenning4 was up last in OWS 29, so here's her list.  Hope everyone had a healthy and happy New Year's Eve.
Please claim responsibly if you've been drinking.  And GO!!!!  Smiley

I claim frosty772 for a "wisty" surprise!  She sent me the most amazing trivets and I want to give something back!

I think this is my 2nd claim.  The 1st has been received.

I live in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.  I am a 40-ish (emphasis on "ish") year old, under-cover hippy freak mother of two boys ages 9 and 11.  I dabble in many different crafts, but don't do any of them consistently.

I love long skirts, long coats, embellished jeans, hoodies, and boots (I love boots!  I own over 30 pairs!)   I love white, black and red.  Not into pastels or frills!  My tastes vary from day-to-day.  Drives the husband crazy when it is gift buying time.  One day I'm extremely funky, the next very elegant.  Never know... So, wish list changes, ALOT!  But  my wist gives you a pretty good idea of my varied likes.

NUMERO UNO!  This hoodie:

Glass Blown Balls like this:

Knitted Socks

No Sew Calico Quilt

Sushi Bag (love the chopstick handles!)

Sling Bag (maybe from jean material???) (see wist)

Homemade Candles (Vanilla, Citrus, hazelnut, cranberry)

Scented Potholders/Trivets
http://www.fabulousfoods.com/features/tables/sewing/trivets.html THANKS, FROSTY!)

Placemats like these only in a tan and burgundy color:

Tablecloth for my breakfast nook (PM me for size; it is smaller than a normal table)

Porcelin Pen(s) (for writing on china?)

Resin Kit

Beginning Chain Maille Kit

Candlemaking Kit

Soapmaking Kit

Glass Etching Kit

Grin well happy new year to y'all!  Grin

i'm going to start 2008 off right by making the first claim of "Porcelin Pen(s) (for writing on china?)".

this is my first claim.

"about me"
i'm 29-year-old counsellor who *just finished my master's--woot woot!*, and i live in vancouver, canada.  colours i like are greens (esp. limey or olivey), pink, turquoise, most blues, chocolate brown. colour combos i like: light blue or turquoise/chocolate brown, pink/olive green, eggplant purple/olive green, lilac/burgundy. i like coloured stuff and i rarely wear black.  im kind of a hippie and like nature themed images like deer, birds, trees, owls, flowers. i also like powerlines, typewriter letters, cruiser bikes, airstream campers, and a-frame cabins.  i dig camping, road-tripping, photography, crafting...   please pm me or check out my wist if you need prompting.

my list:
** = my top picks

1. a sweatshirt cardigan, reconstructed or not.
2. an embroidered or screenprinted t-shirt (size sm, but preferrably the longer, more girly style) with one of my favorite designs on it, maybe on the bottom corner?-- see ideas above.
3. ** measuring tape fabric. black & white or coloured.
4. knit leg warmers (not too thick yarn and with/without tiny cables) in tan, olive, light blue, or pink. i kind of have scrawny chicken legs. i got one pair from javede and i wear them constantly!

5. for my play therapy collection: plastic/rubber figurines, like those basic ones from the dollar store that are pretty indestructible. i need people of different races and jobs (doctor, nurse, police, etc.), super heroes, monsters, etc. pm me to check if you like.

6. a long-sleeved bolero like this in green, purple, brown, or tan https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=95488.msg902872;topicseen#msg902872

7. circular vest like this

8. a hand towel (light blue, pink, or grass green) with small embroidery or fabric applique (on one corner or across the bottom?). the thin cheap ones are fine, just pre-shrink first please.

9. a flipside style hat with a little front bill (i have a big head tho' so pm me for measurements) http://www.flipsidehats.com/

10. big wish: a pretty long sleeved sweater like this in a single colour https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=94352.msg892124#msg892124

11. pj pants in 100% cotton. in a funky print, plain light blue or brown or pink, or like any fabric on my wists. size small-ish.

12. ** i would LOVE a top in JOODITO's style (i know, that's a lot to ask) https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=200010.msg2125339;topicseen - msg2125339

13. this cardigan is GORGEOUS, but i'd need it in non-itchy/acrylic or something. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=155549.msg1549743;topicseen - msg1549743

14. this scarf/shrug combo is VERY cute! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=94728.msg934490#msg934490

15. people finger puppets (i don't need animals). girl, boy, king, queen, police, etc.

16. ** a photo screen-printed animal pillow in the salvor style. i like the owls, small birds, or bunny. i can stuff it if you like so the postage is cheaper. http://www.velocityartanddesign.com/salvor_fauna.html (psyche made me an awesome li'l owl and i'd love more for my family)

17. HUGE ohmyGOSh i would love you forever if you made me something like this shrug in green or brown https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=99710.0

18. a cable knit hat in chocolate brown, blue, raspberry, or green. soft yarn please, and knit kind of loosey-goosey so it don't squish ma hair. lasandri made me one and i carry it in my purse every day. http://www.sandrisuperstar.com/gallery/main.php/v/creations/knitties_0/IMG_9508.jpg.html my head is 24" around at the crown.

19. ** an odessa hat in light blue just like the photo. i'd love it looser (so it don't squish ma hayr). and you don't need to add the pearls if it's too fiddly. http://www.magknits.com/feb06/patterns/odessa.htm

20. a scoodie (scarf + hood) in my favorite colours http://indietutes.blogspot.com/2007/09/scoodie.html

21. fabric labels that say k8kre8s. (for my creations.)

22. any of the fabrics from my wist: http://www.wists.com/k8kre8s/fabric or something that resembles them fairly closely.

23. a striped scarflette like this:

24. a wooden nostepinne.

25. a woodgrain watch strap like this: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=207759.msg2221636;topicseen - msg2221636 i've got the watch, just need the strap.

26. modified one skein wonder long-sleeved mini-sweater in white, cream,  chocolate brown or the colour used here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=44519.0
soft acrylic yarn please.

of course, something from the rest of my wist. (at the bottom down there) *please* check with me first, cuz some of that stuff has been made, and some is just on there for reference.

*** if you see one of the bigger projects on this list that you'd be interested in doing a personal swap for, let me know...

I claim k8kre8 for her people finger puppets (number 15). Yay!

Im in the USA.

-BIG BIG GINORMOUS WISH: A green knitted, reinforced, sturdy bag for my Apple laptop (which is about 8 by 11 big, and 1.5 thick.) Green striped would be amazingor just in other tones of dark green.
-A wallet! Like one of these. Fun fabrics are always welcome, but no pink, please. I hate pink.
-Cool, unique earrings. I love earrings! A necklace would be nice, too, as long as it is original, attention-grabbing, and LONG. I love these types of pendants. As long as theyre nice and LONG. I hate short necklaces.
-Finglerless gloves! An amazing color combination would be off-white and green, but any color (besides pink) would be good.
-Handpainted/stenciled t-shirts. I love t-shirts! The more, the merrier! I would especially love t-shirts that have pictures of my favorite music artists on them and say Today is SINGER NAME Day! For example, a shirt that has a stencil of Frank Sinatra, and says underneath his picture: Today is Frank Sinatra Day! I would love that. Or a shirt that has lyrics on it (example: a shirt that said Shake it up, baby on the front and had a stencil of the Beatles on the back, with the words Twist and Shout beneath them) (I wear size XL)
-YET ANOTHER BIG WISH: An I Love Shyguys shirt, like this one. Because, yes, I do have a shyguy crush of my own.
-A hand-painted thermos would be muy bueno.
-A homemade journal or decoupaged/painted notebook.
-I am, in fact, addicted to cute, bright, clever iPod cozies.
-A bright-colored, floaty, casual skirt that hits past my knees (like, something I could wear to school). A circle skirt would probably be perfect!
-Homemade beads! That would be fun.
-A crafty case for my camera.

-BIG WISH: A heat gun! Oh my, I want one of these so bad. It may just be wishful thinking, but Ill put it here anyway. J
-I would really love some Shrinky Dinks. I cant find any anywhere! Yeah, Shrinky Dinks would be cool.
-Bright, unusual-colored felt. I have all the standard colors that my local Wal-Mart offers, but that isnt much. I dont even have any blue!
-Chain-type things for making jewelry. Im not sure what theyre called.
-Rubber-maid containers. I love those things!

About me: I dabble in all sorts of crafts, but Im not really expert in anything. I love Disney! My favorite color is green! I love dark, foresty shades of it, especially paired with off-white and browns. Im pretty big on earth tones at this point in time. Right now I am kind of wanting practical things I can use, so no toys or trinkets, please.

Thank you in advance for picking me!

Artistically, I like bold and graphic with bright colours. My own style is simple and also kind of sporty; I like clean lines. I like black and white, but punch it up pops of colour.
