Sorcha- good thinking on doubling the square! So, will it have 4 hearts altogether?

And good luck in the hospital!

I am going to make 4 of the heart squares and together they will equal 12'.

Sorcha, your idea to mirror may be an even better way to go. Also, I want to wish you all the best tomorrow!

I have a question before I try this again. I don't know what I'm doing, it's flat on the inside of the heart part and then in droops on either end. Help me please?

I figured out this puffy heart. I was crocheting it way too tight. Once I loosened up, it came out right at 6".  I'm using it as the middle of my square and putting boarders around it. Doing it all as a one color block. So far so good.

oh wow i love that puffy heart square! my SO's dad is getting married this summer and i wanted to make them an afghan as a gift, i might do something with the heart puffs!

man i really need to be on this thread a lot more. i can't believe how quickly it grows!

i've already done two of the january square, but our battery charger has died, so i need to buy a new one, charge them, take photos and upload them still! i had them done so long ago too. darn procrastination  Tongue Cheesy

good luck in the hospital, sorcha. i have no idea what an induction is, but i wish you well Smiley

as i seem to have come down with a really nasty cold all of a sudden i couldn't really be bothered to do anything today
so i spent this afternoon having a go at this crochet along
so here's my attempt, sorry about the colours, i thought the varigated yarn would look good

it's supposed to have another round but i got worried about the amount of yarn i had left, i think it looks ok as is though
i think i'll have to stick with this and make some blankets though

I am so excited for this!! I hope I can keep up with it!  I'm making two of these, one will be made of this color:

Belle the cat likes to help model things I make.  But this is Simply Soft, in a pretty seafoamy color.  I used this at first because I have a TON of it for some reason, though I don't think it will match anything in our house.  Oh well, one less spur of the moment Christmas gift..

And I'm making another for myself and my fiance for Christmas, that one is still a WIP for now Smiley
