Here's my newest creation - Fuzzy Cat Sweater, which I knitted for our Norwegian Forest Cat. This winter is rather tough and we will be traveling with her, so I wanted to keep her nice and toasty. Smeagol seems to like it, what really surprised us, but after all she's a cat

More about the whole story and as well the pattern for Fuzzy Cat Sweater you can find on my blog:
http://kasiamorgiana.blogspot.comFuzzy Cat Sweater - The PatternYarn: Kitty by Bernetta Wolle: 50g skein in yellow and purple (used 3/4 of purple and 1/2 of yellow). Every superwash would do!
Needles: bamboo dp size 2.75 and circular needles size 2.5 (string about 40cm)
The sweater is constructed according to the top-down principle and is knitted in rounds. The pattern is made for a normal size home cat with a neck circumstance of 21 cm.
The sweater is about 19cm long, but can be made any length you fancy.
Gauge is 20s: 6,5cm.
With dp cast on 64s. Divide between 3 needles, set the 2 on 2 ribbing and join carefully not to twist. Knit for 3 cm, then switch to the circular needles: knit one row in contrasting colour, and the second one in where one stitch would be in the main colour and 2nd in contrasting.
Now divide for reglan: knit 7 place marker, knit 15 place marker, knit 7 place marker, knit 15 place marker.
*Knit until 1 before marker knit two stitches from one* repeat with all markers
Knit around
Repeat those two rounds until you reach the length of the sleeves which allow your cat to put through her/his elbows comfortably (for Smeagol that was about 13-15 cm).
Now seperate the sleeves and work in rounds until you have the length you wanted. Finish the sweater with at least 4 rows of 2 on 2 ribbing in contrasting colour.
Pick up the stitches on the sleeves, and finish with 2 on 2 ribbing in contrasting colour. Seem the sleeves and weave in the threads.
You can play with colours on this one, make it sweet or naughty. Just enjoy your creativity and hope that your cat will love her/his new sweater
