As many of you may know my daughter's service club, Difference Makers, performs a wide variety of community services, such as raising money for charities like Unicef, Extra Ordinary Birthdays, Samaritan's House, as well as snow shoveling for the elderly and disabled, care packages for the homeless, card/gifts for veterans, etc.
We are hosting a craft fair at Takoma Park Middle School on September 18, 2016 to raise money to purchase supplies and tools for our service work. The Takoma Park Folk Festival which is a huge event was cancelled this year giving us the opportunity to run a fair with local handmade goods in its place. Our event will be at the same time/venue and we anticipate a large crowd. We are advertising this event through e-blasts, print, and social media.
Our event will feature handcrafted items including, pottery, jewelry, clothing, woodworking, food, etc. as well as fun family activities including a moon bounce, shave ice, and lemonade. Interested in vending at our event? Here are the details:What:
