My mom, sister #1, sister #2, MIL, and niece are all getting handmade lotion/shower gel (with body poufs! and handmade soap bars, too) kits. They all make fun of me for taking long, "princess" showers (not my fault I like to feel clean!) so I'm gonna lable them The "Take Your Own Damn Princess Shower!" Kit.

My niece and nephew will get some homeade lipbalm, but I'll also buy them toys because I think they just expect that. Haha

My FIL is getting a shirt with a Simpsons' quote that my husband and I think fits him perfectly, it says, "Stupid non-plasma TV...picture's so blurry, might as well rub dirt in my eyes!!!"

I have no idea what to get two of my BILs, but my youngest BIL will get some DVDs and gory homeade soap.

Brother - no idea yet, but I'm pretty sure he's getting an iPod from one of my sisters, so maybe my babe and I will get him a speaker for it. Then I'll craft him some soap or lip balm? or manly lotion!

Male friends? Maybe a fleece scarf if I have time, as they are last priority.  Grin

I told myself last year that I would learn a number of different crafts (e.g. paper crafting, sewing, knitting, jewelry making), so that I would be able to craft most of my gifts this year. Unfortunately, despite all of my best intentions, I still have not learned any specific crafting techniques (though I have bought a number of supplies and borrowed lots of books from the library). I still want to have a handmade Christmas though, so I am hoping to make some easy crafts, buy items crafted by others, and/or buy used gifts.

I haven't decided what I want to make yet, but I thought that I would start keeping a list of some of my ideas here.

Lurky person coming out of the dark, here!
Sis #2 (17)- Temari balls (she loves Japanese things) in her fave colors: black and green (prob. with some white/silver for accents).  don't know what else yet!

~Sara

If your sis like Japanese things  why not make her a Bento Box kit too - someone suggested this to me awhile back - make or get a bento box and fill it with small edible goodies, and pretty chopsticks.  You could make it with a cover to wrap it for carrying lunch in too, with a nice Asian inspired fabric, with some reuseable napkins too - very enviro friendly as well.
