This is a Christmas ornament I made with couched wire and a variety of green seed beads leftover from other projects.

That is just lovely - it must look so nice catching the light of the tree on the beads and wire.  Great job.

that is awesome!

are the beads sewn on with the wire, or does it just make the really cool swirlys? I'm not familiar with it.

did you make more than one?

I only made one. It was just a project to use up some leftover short lengths of wire. I hate throwing stuff away. I bent those into the swirls and couched them down (that just means I used some thread to make short little stitches along the lengths of the wires to hold them down).

I also had some leftover beads that I sewed in place with thread, one at a time (people who regularly sew with beads are laughing now) with thread to echo the swirlyness of the wires.

That is just lovely - it must look so nice catching the light of the tree on the beads and wire.  Great job.

I do like the way it catches the light and that the beads are different shades of green.

Thanks for the nice comments.
