Hi all :-)

I have to admit, I've been lurking on the boards for a wee while now, in awe of your creativity and skills, but I finally decided to jump in :-)  I'm Fiona, and I live in Scotland, and do all kinds of crafts.  This is my version of the Portal companion cube.

As soon as I finished the game I knew I had to make one, and started playing about with ideas.  First of all, I just charted it and knitted that, but I didn't like it not have the dimensionality of the real cube, so started on other ideas.  This is a knitted cube, and I've crocheted the corners and central circles on to it.  I know it's missing the tiny bits between the corners, but I'm still working on the design ;-)  It's the prototype, but it's very smooshy and I keep having to steal it back from my friends who try and leave with it :-)

Since I haven't posted much yet, I can only link to pics, so here they are, hope you like...

Take care all,
Fi xxx

That's pretty!

Is that a Rubik's cube in the background? Or am I hallucinating?

It's terribly cute and squishy looking.

And I love the Sudoku cube in the background! Grin

Thank you everyone :-)  Yes, it's a sudoku cube - my guy can do Rubix cubes incredibly fast, apparently, once you know the algorithms, it's really easy...  So I gave him a 4x4 cube, and a friend got him the sudoku one :-)

I like the smooshyness of the cube, it's very comforting and companiony.
