I was about to link to a post by Stefanie Japel regarding pattern errata.  I know I read it nov 5 or 6, but it's gone from her blog...
It was a bit of a rant against well-wishers informing her of errors in her patterns.  For ex, people email her that DK weight yarn should not be knitted on US 15 needles, when in fact Stef used really big needles on really thin yarn *on purpose*.  OK, fine, I can understand how annoying that would be.
Then she went on to say that for patterns that have been published for more than one year, there are NO mistakes.  Huh?  Excuse me?  I think we can all attest that there are still mistakes in this pattern, most notibly the # of st to CO....

She said that this was the only pattern that the corrections haven't been posted yet for some reason.

I am about to cast on for this pattern, using LeSophie's corrections found here using this yarn:

Is anyone still knitting this?

loisgriffinwannabe:
I was thinking of trying this as I have a bunch of super bulky yarn left over from sweater I finished but hated so I frogged the whole thing.  After reading all this I'm somewhat discouraged though.  I'm going to look at those corrections posted elsewhere here when I am less tired and see what I think.  Anyone else want to try?  I am a clumsy knitter and would love some moral support. ^_^;

Hi thingwraith;

I made this and I was very disappointed in how it looked on me. I made it with long sleeves, and I ended up looking like a linebacker. I am going to frog it and make something else Sad

Gah!  Thanks for the heads up.  I have already started knitting it but I'm not that far in yet, so it's not too late to bail.
