Yes, yes, yes I KNOW!  Grin
This dress IS ultra-short but it was a "prototype" and I was trying to use scraps and bits of leftover fabrics (leopard print ultrasuede, black satin, red imitation silk).  The next time I make a version of this dress I assure you all it will be much longer.   Wink

In this "mini" version the reminds me of a casino "Cigarette Girl" so perhaps I have next year's costume already OR if I work up the courage I might wear it out (perhaps to a burlesque or rockabilly show ).

This was the first time I attempted to make matching buttons (from the black satin of the skirt) and I am now officially hooked!  I think everything I ever make from this point forward will HAVE matching buttons (whether they are needed or not).

Please forgive the hammy poses.    Roll Eyes

And the "arty" washed out photo:

I don't think the dress is too short, I think your legs are like a mile long!! The dress is ADORABLE! I love that it was made from scraps too! Cheesy

With those legs...it would be a crime if you didn't go out & show them off in such a hot dress! Love the door pose too! What a hot little dress! Nice work.

If you're making another version, you can totally send this my way!!  Grin
XD

But really, I think it looks awesome! And I think the tights make the length perfectly acceptable... mind you I wouldn't really wear it without them.

Love the second pic - so cute!

I think you did a fab job! You may even be able to pull it off as a tunic or babydoll top and wear with pants or leggings if you dont feel brave enough to wear out! Keep craftin' my friend!

I think this is super cute!!! And it's not too short at all, especially if you wear it with tights like you are in the picture. If you're really worried about seeming too sexy you could always make it a little more casual by wearing flats or other more conservative shoes (i.e. converse...but I only say that cause I live in them, haha.)

This is sooo adorable!  It doesn't look short in the pix, but if you're worried about the whole bending over/free show thing, maybe you can either wear a tutu/tulle sort of under skirt, or ultra ruffly panties!

The dark hose look great with it, so that helps, LOL!

I keep envisioning boning in the skirt so it stands out, sort of a Judy Jetson thing, but I think we'd be back to the tulle...

Great job!
