These have a few different techniques (so I'm not sure where it goes) but I thought I would put it here b/c embroidery was the final step.

I carved out 5 block stamps and stamped them in brown on white silk. Then I silk painted the background colour (which is the colour of the actual berry). And then finally I embroidered a few sections. This was pretty much my first time doing embroidery, I'm not disappointed with the way it turned out.

Sorry... they haven't been ironed...

Hah, so THAT'S the name for those berries Cheesy I love hot cloudberries with vanilla ice cream... >_>
They look very nice Smiley What are you going to use them for?

"That's my lab table and this is my work-stool. And over there is my intergalactic spaceship! And here's where I keep assorted lengths of wire."

...oh, if it wasn't clear, I'm rarely completely serious. Smiley

They were for my final project at school... I didn't have enough time to set them, so unfortunately I can't use them as scarves, unless I know for sure that I won't be sweating or they won't get wet in anyway... I don't need to have a pink and orange neck!
Haha, so I have yet another piece of art to hang on my wall!

Very nice!  I love mixing different techniques - that's what the creativity in crafting is all about!

All you need is a sunny day and dirty knees!

They're great! Nice to use of your block prints and your stitching looks grand!
