I love this!!  I went out and bought the letters for all three of my kiddos names....  didn't really think the 15 yr old would go for it on his wall, but he thought it was a cool idea too!!  I have already started on his and I can't wait to see them up on the wall.  Thanks for the idea!

Absolutely in love...with the names Bethany, Sebastian and Julian, and with the project!!

I think my kiddo needs some! She's the only "Ariel" that she knows, and she's super proud of her name now that she can read and write it.

Thanks!  I really need to make some for my youngest!  He's the one in my giant pregnant belly that you can see in that one picture.  His name is Dorian, but he still sleeps with me, so he doesn't have a room to put them in yet!  I bet your daughter would love some.  For some reason, girls get a much bigger kick out of stuff with their names than boys do!

"Yeah we don't take orders well.  Unless they're to get on the dance flo'.  Or raise the roof.  Or make some NOIZE...with a Z!"

This idea totally rox. So I pondered it for a while. Realized I had a letter kickin' around, and decided to do it up for my DD. But she's in that 3 year old pink-lovin princess stage (a far cry from the tough little beauty she was 6 months ago!!) so I was commanded (oh you better BELIEVE it coming from this Princess) that it must be "Prettiest like me." What was I to do when comfronted with that kind of logic??!!

But alas, none of my patterned papers were "sparkly" or "pretty" enough for her, so I painted it in metallic pink (oh yes, sparkles and pink TOGETHER) and then did mosaics on it with a cut-up CD-rom disc. Then added some sequin flowers and hearts up one side......... She LOVED it.

Unfortunately no pics (as of yet), but hopefully it will be inspiration for others to take this amazing idea a few steps further. And really, I need more ideas for the other 7 letters in her name that I haven't done yet!!!

I reaaaaally like this idea, but I feel I'm a little too old for my name on my wall. =[

*Ponders what she could do instead*

I saw this and i am WAY excited to try it out... i didnt want to put my name up, so i talked to a friend of mine who is Italian, she suggested CUCINA, which is kitchen.  Since i have a new place i need some things to decorate, so this will be perfect.  An idea if you do not want to use a name Smiley  Ill try to post pics when they are done..  YEAH!!!! I made some more for a swap. These are the small wooden letters.  I think they were only 99 cents each at Micheal's.

Normally I can't stand things like this; but yours kick ass. Seriously. Now I'm thinking, "What words would I hang in my house?" Love the RAWR one. We should all feel bad ass while crafting.

Anything I can reach I do myself.
