I made these for a dear friend who now lives here in Toronto, but is from Sask (where the winters are so cold you can't really wear anything just because it's pretty). They're cute and they really do keep the wrists warm. Only snapped a photo of one when it was done though.  Shocked

And a close up.

I used less than 1 skein of Artful Yarns' Portrait in #171 Girl Before a Mirror, on 2.25mm straights. After the initial frustration with the double pointed needles slipping out of the yarn, and trying to mess with the pattern (originally the Mrs Beetons from Knitty), they didn't take long at all. The most time consuming thing was sewing on the beads, next time I will make sure the holes in my beads are big enough for the yarn!

Those are beautiful!  And you're right, wristwarmers really do make a big difference in the cold.  I used another color of that yarn for a scarf last year, and have thought of getting more for some other project, so you may have inspired me!  Thanks for sharing them.  Cheesy
