It's going to be really nice!  I love those bright greens.
- Thanks!  I have been busy sewing the strip-sets.  Only 2 more to go!  Grin
OnlySiamese, that is VERY pretty!!!
Alas, baby is coming Thursday and my quilt is not done.  But that is what 2am feedings are for, right  Grin
-Thanks and congratulations on your upcoming arrival!  Cheesy
Hey, OnlySiamese!  I haven't checked this forum in awhile, and I just saw your sample block.  It looks GREAT!  I can't wait to see your whole quilt put together!

How much fabric did you end up buying for the marquee strips?  You'll have to let me know so I can mark my book with the correct yardage.
-Thanks  Cheesy  I'll check my fabric total.  I know I ended up buying more than I needed because I was afraid that I would decide to use more of one fabric than another and wouldn't have enough!   I let you know how much I actually used.  I calculated the number of strip sets I would need and it came out to be 9, plus 4 more slices of another strip.  I think I can piece those 4 together from the leftovers of the others.

Is it too late to join in? I've been wanting to do one of the quilts in the book "Quilts in the tradition of Frank Lloyd Wright" for my son. It's just not been on the front burner with everything else I want to do, but this would be a great motivation to get moving on it.

OH, YAY!  Somebody else to join in!  I haven't checked this forum in several days so I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner!

This thread was a great motivator for me to finish my marquee quilt top.  I have the backing fabric for it, but I haven't pieced it together yet.  I plan to have that done (before the end of the year, I hope) so I can post a finished picture finally.

Thanks for joining in.  I haven't seen the book you're using so I can't wait to see your quilt.

I am still working (sllllooooowwwwlllllyyyy) on my quilt, but wanted to share my good excuse for taking a break  Grin  My son will be 2 weeks old tomorrow!!! Once we settle into a good routine, I'll be able to get back to my sewing machine a bit more.

(Oh yes, almost 10 lbs.!!!!!)

Been a long time since I've seen anything posted on this thread. Due to an unexpected pet death in my family, I now have some free time that I didn't before. I started work on an improv quilt. It's based on the log cabin process but there is no pattern. I try to limit the colors so that it looks somewhat co-ordinated. I've got three blocks done and based on the size so far, I think I have 22 more blocks to go. :-)

I'm so sorry to hear about the death in your family.
Thank you for sharing your blocks.
They are REALLY awesome!
