I am collecting yarn, im not sure why yet, but i like to crochet.  I crochet mainly just to do it, not to make stuff, but i need ideas of stuff to make.

i have a lot of browns and neutrals ...  i was thinking teddy bears?

Maybe make some baby blankets to donate?  Brown would be a pretty gender-neutral color.  Plus you'd be able to crochet a lot, have a purpose for it, and not have to worry about finding family members/friends who are willing to take yet another scarf.   Wink

Him: I think we've been on the same page for a while now.
Me: What if we're on the same page, but in different books?

Check with a local elementary school to see if they have children who need scarves, mittens and hats.  I work with a bunch of people who love to craft.  We're always buying clearance yarn and making fun sets for the kids.  Though I've got to admit, we buy the "magic stretch" mittens and gloves.

I wish I had your problem - I have loads of patterns and no yarn (well, not enough anyway...)! Sigh...
What about making lots of squares to join together and make scarves, cushions, blankets etc?

I like teddy bears. Or you could make a cute clutch and add a nice button or trim.
