This girl does!!!  I have sewed mainly skirts and dresses.  Never any type of pants so I thought I would try out some jammy pants ... I was shocked at how easy they were - less than an hour and I always take a lot of time sewing so I enjoy it -  I wish the fit was a little better but they're still totally wearable.  My camera ham model loves any opportunity to pose ...

Thanks!  I used McCalls 5249.  It has girls and womens sizing in it.  I had the brilliant idea I would make all of my gifts this year and I thought I would make these for my mom and sister.  I tested a pair first for Em but I'm not sure if I will use for moms because of the fit.  It's super baggy in the crotch.  I might be able to shorten it though.  If you do try it, I bought an extra 1/8 th of a yard since I knew I would wash this first.  I had plenty before I cut and I had to rearrange the pieces to make them fit.  I needed about an extra 6 inches to do it properly and to make the tie at the top.  Just make sure you buy extra fabric.  Butterick has another cut pair with a ruffle on the bottom I'll try next.  I think it's 4910.  I like their patterns better anyhow.
