So I got onto craftster today and saw piano key pants (search "thought i was a goner!!!!!!") and I thought "Hey that's really neat! I should post my piano key skirt!" And so I shall. This was for extra credit in my fashion forecasting and design class. I designed the skirt and drafted the pattern and sewed it in two nights. Funny story about that...I waited way too late to start this project and ended up staying up for 41 hours staight so I could get it done in time and still go to all my classes (I reeeally hate to skip class). I really like how it turned out though and am proud that I didn't take too many short cuts. It is fully lined, with an invisible zipper in the back, 8 darts, and a contour waistband with two hook-and-eye and a snap closures. I really hope you like it (my professor did  Smiley )!

This is me modeling the skirt. I didn't want to take piano keys too literally, so I made black and white pleats at the bottom of the skirt:

This it a little closer and showing the waistband:

Please excuse the wrinkles. The picture was taken after I had gotten back from the presentations (which lasted 4 hours...so I had been sitting a lot).  Smiley

Rawr! You're damn sexy, girl! (okay, that was totally not meant to sound like I'm at a bar hitting on you, HAHA!) Anyway, love the skirt, it shows off your curves so well!
