Hi all, just a quick interruption.  I hope everyone will join us in the new year for OWS 30.  My modem went kablooey this week and I'm waiting for a new one to come by mail.  Fortunately I work almost constantly from Dec 30 to Jan 2 and I have internet at work, so there shouldn't be any delays getting the new round up and running on time.  I love pms so feel free to bombard me with applications, claims, bribes, whatever.  Smiley  And now back to your regularly scheduled swap.

I claim farmgirljane for Kool Aid, from her wists!

this is my 7th claim, 4 received, 2 in transit, and I'm in wisconsin

wish list (really big wishes in bold red)!

a satchel bag like this http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer05/PATTsatchel.html  (bright colors, use up all your felting colors?)

Purple and white, thick gloves (not mittens, please) or fingerless mitts in purple - I had gotten a pair of gloves that appear to be out of something similar to peaches n cream, in purple and white stripes, and one got lost.... and I could really use something to keep my hands warm for the wisconsin winters!

*** NEW *** knitted washcloths

An earflap hat for my son - he actually wants one - PM me for color and style, I have a bunch of patterns bookmarked <-- thanks, sunspotted!!

a superlong stocking cap - I found this pattern for one, I"m thinking one that's long enough to wrap around your neck like a scarf?  http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/fiber_arts/105304

this felted backgammon board (or something similar)  http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_5311864,00.html

*** NEW *** a lacy scarf, like this?  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=212550.msg2282191#msg2282191

*** NEW *** a project bag - something to hold the one project, with the yarn, needles, pattern (I suspect my next project is socks)

i love this felted bag - http://www.talklikeapirate.com/knitlikeapirate.html

*** NEW *** the amanda's squatty sidekick purse  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187674.msg1967806#msg1967806

the felted monster slippers in the SNB book?

a flamenco skirt like this https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=3905.msg29436#msg29436

a corset top - the kind with the mini-hooks up the front?  I have one, and i love it, would love another one!

6" pieced squares for my craftster quilt - I'd prefer they not be plain 6" squares of fabric, but the pieced ones? <-- thanks, threadoryarn!!

*** NEW *** a messenger style bag - big enough to hold my projects and all my normal purse stuff?  maybe like one of the necktie bags?

can anyone figure out how to make a shrug jacket like this?  I LOVE this jacket, but this is the only picture I have of it

*** NEW *** a new project bag - yes, i have this in knitted, too - i have a great bag from a swap ages ago, a really big messenger bag - but now, i think i need a slightly smaller one - think a project like socks, so something with space for yarn, needles, project, pattern...

another big wish - the pants from Burda Pattern number 8316 - they're a pair of pants that I love - view A (long, not crops) in the smallest size (and we can talk about sizing) (I can provide pattern and fabric, I just need someone who's a better sewer than I to actually make 'em)

I love this corset top - can even send the fabric for it!

this skirt - anyone think they can find a pattern and make one?  it doesn't need to be so long... mid-calf would be perfect

If anyone loves to sew, I love this skirt!  would love a soft drapey sort of fabric

a shirt like this, but long enough to tuck in - PM for sizing, please

Amy Butler Weekender bag

i love the idea of this comic book clutch... anyone want to give it a try?

sock yarn - I finally learned how to knit socks!!  any color, but I really like the self-patterning sock yarn! - i WILL learn to make socks!! <-- thanks, Annchen, you got me knitting socks!!

hand-spun yarn

hand dyed yarn - worsted or sock weight?

crafting supplies:
  • soap making supplies - coconut oil, a soap making box mold
  • chunky weight wool - it's not like thick n quick, and it's not  like regular wool - it's somewhere in between, with a gauge of about 3-4 st. / 1 inch on about #8-10 needles...  anyway, in white, dark blue, forest green, deep purple, chocolate brown, something like that?
  • felting wool - i have a couple of projects that need felting wool, especially greens, purples, reds, both worsted weight and bulky weight - it can be undyed, and i can dye it myself

someone made me this bag - and it unfortunately met with a disaster... so i'd love a new one?

*** NEW *** something to decorate the walls - a collage, a shrine, quilted wallhanging, something like that?  themes might be oceans/seashore, irises/dragonflies, Dio de los Muertos...?

*** NEW *** i think we have a couple of potters - so a bowl, or cups?

a yarn cozy like this?  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21691.msg176577#msg176577

*** NEW *** hand made note cards?  preferably no glitter, though, please?

stained glass pendant or bracelet, especially if it was dragonfly or butterfly or iris

*** NEW *** embellished / stencilled hoodie - dragonflies, irises?  adult size medium (i like them big and comfy)

home-crafted body balms or body butter

i've seen these record notebooks - anyone think they can make these?  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=160934.msg1623605#msg1623605 <--- thank you k8kre8s - son wants one now, too!

Knitting and crocheting books - if one of these is just taking up space, I'd love to get a copy:
  • Twinkle's Big City Knits: 31 Chunky-Chic Designs
  • Knit with Beads: Stunning Shawls and Wraps: Easy Techniques, 15 Beautiful Designs
  • *** NEW *** A Gathering of Lace

DIY kits:
  • drop spindle spinning thanks Lilyvanilli !!
  • body butter

Whatever you're really good at - my wist, and my list, are a good indication of the sort of things I like - if there's something you're really good at, and you think I might like it, feel free to plan a surprise - truly, when people make things in friendship, they're received that way, too
something inspired by my wist  http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea  (I got yelled at that I hadn't added anything lately, so added over 30 new things to my wist)

devil dogs!!  I'm outta devil dogs! (if you don't know what they are, you probably can't get them by you)  and thanks to Kerstin for sending me some!

*** NEW *** If outside the USA - coffees/sweets from your neck of the woods

and if i stall out the swap, someone yell at me, and i'll add more stuff.

... right... about me.  I'm the REALLY old lady in the crowd (even older since my last b'day, but i haven't hit 50 yet!), the one peering over the bifocals.  The one who may have managed to tear up my shoulder by knitting too much.  I have 1 teenager at home, and my day job is a computer programmer.  I have no allergies except MRI dye and a couple of antibiotics,  no issues with animal products, would prefer to avoid religion/religious articles and politics at all costs.... my favorite colors are the jewel tones, think ruby, sapphire, emerald... i don't do terribly well with pastels.  We live in an apartment, where space is always at a premium... so small things that sit on tables and shelves and don't do anything except collect dust aren't a great thing here.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses me

I claim Dulcinea for a superlong stocking cap and some other stuff from my 'Dulcinea is freaking awesome!' pile.  Grin

This is my 5th claim, 3 sent, 2 rec'd, and I'm in Maryland where it has decided to sleet and be nasty. Blargh.

- Woolen sweaters - 'dry clean only' so they full really well.  No size restrictions.

- feltable wool yarn in non-neon colors (can you tell my washer gets a workout?)

- An amigurumi beagle! Really, anything beagle related.  Mine is my only child, after all. A Snoopy shirt would be awesome.

  - funky silk screened or embroidered or handpainted or whatever t-shirts or hoodies, or heck, sweatpants as long as I'm not going to sit on your efforts

 - Knitting needles anyone? I have 8 and 10, and bamboo would be nice, but stingy me is going into sticker shock because needles are twice as expensive as crochet hooks (yes, duh, obvious, I know)

 - 12" flannel squares - can be one piece or a pieced quilty square.  My New Year's resolution that helps out Project Linus.

 - blank notecards

 - unfinished wooden picture frames (usually a 4x6 is around $1)

 - something inspired by comic books - clothes, tote bag, etc.  I'm a big fan of the greats - Batman, Supes, Spidey.  Same goes for cello or classical music stuff.

 - hardcover books with colorful fronts (no jacketed ones, please).

 - posters or cards of those older European advertisements with bright colors http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Cognac-Monnet_i404819_.htm?aid=246987

 - Easy-to-crochet-with yarn.  I like the chunky kind, because it goes so fast! Nothing eyelashy please.

 - Looking to get rid of those yarn bits left over from projects? If they're at least a foot long you can send them to me. Thanks CrossStitchinMomma!

- A magic yarn ball!

 - kits are good, too.  I love trying out new things! Needle felting or whatever you're into.

 - purse handles

 - For my man, small GI Joe or similar size figures (3 ) to customize.  He customized a figure to look like me! What crafty kids we would have.

- For my son, Jake T. Beagle, some stuffed animals to chew on and maybe some doggie treats (you've got your kids, I've got mine, hehe) Jake sends a slurp to lapoli!

 - And always, the wist at the bottom.

Other things about me: I am a flitting crafter.  I try something, conquer and move on, but always love to go back! I sew, quilt, crochet and throw pottery when I can find a class.  Also have the random education of an engineering degree with a minor in classical studies, so I work in construction and play cello.  Whatever pays the bills, right? Have a boyfriend and we share a beagle who basically owns the house.  Thanks in advance for picking me!

btw, thanks for the past two months, be kind to your organizers henceforth and always, remember to include due dates on your PMs, and tip your waitress!

I claim Grieney for purse handles and a wool sweater.

This is my fourth claim, with 2 received and 1 in transit.

Hi, Im Mary Ann and I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest, USA.  My main crafts are bath and body, crochet, and sewing, but I dabble in jewelry, scrapbooking/card making, cross stitch, embroidery, and anything else that catches my fancy. I like most colors, from pastels to brights and jewel tones and neutrals, but I dont like black and pink together. A long drawn out explanation of colors I like is in my profile, but right now I am loving black and white floral patterns in combo with bright red, pink, purple, or turquoise.

Allergies~pet hair, and wispy yarn like mohair makes me sneezy and itchy. I can't wear necklaces at all and have to be careful with other jewelry (needs to be loose and high quality/breathable material) because I have contact dermititis.

new Buttons in shapes of cars, trucks, tools, puppies...little boy stuff!

Crafted Items

Crochet hook roll/holder in turquoise/other bright color Thanks Grieney!

Purse/bag any size with long strap(s) (would like to fit over my shoulder and tuck under my arm), in stripes, polka dots, wacky floral, or asian inspired material with magnetic button or would really love zipped closure

Bracelets, 8 inches please, I have big (7in) wrists and need to wear them loosely to not aggravate my contact dermatitis. I prefer silver toned and I love beads, cuff style is great too Thanks errka!

Woven magazine purse, like on my wist

Fun blocks or trucks for my toddler nephews, or anything good for toddlers ala teenaged mutant ninja turtles

new TNMT stuffies/amiguramis. Atsuko's rock! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=209461.0

My color scheme in there right now is sage green and gray comforter/window valances with silver and black accents.

Surprises are cool, there is a lot of info in my profile and links.

I love high-heels, any art that has high-heels or little shoe ornaments or anything with shoes would be great!

new *I would love some Tonka truck material to make something for my nephews. I haven't figured out what I would make yet, but they love them some Tonka trucks*

I claim Maremare12 for some sewing patterns.

Third claim.  One has been recieved and one is in transit (not sure if recieved yet or not?)

Hello there !!
Im Tammy.  Im 35 and im a stay at home mom to three boys in NE OH.  I like to sew, quilt.  I am starting to get into embroidery and can crochet a little bit.  Im very much into girly type stuff and love anything regency -titanic era. I also love 30s-40s things as well.  I am allerigc to nickel.
Here are my wishes
First off any surprise off my wist list is great!!

Big Wishes include:
**Beaded or crocheted/knitted Miser Bag example like this http://www.onceuponapattern.com/59.html or this one http://www.somewhereintime.tv/antiques/miser.html (im not asking for exact replicas of these. However it is ok if they are lol !!).
**Civil War Era Cape called a Mathilde Mantilla (Think of a Civil War era Poncho.  This is basically what it is)  Here is a link to the pattern http://www.uvm.edu/%7Ehag/godey/images/s5902170.jpg  and here is an example of what it looks like http://www.thegracefullady.com/civilwargowns/ready-mades_silkmantle.htm Measurements will be provided.  Wool blend or Corduroy would be great. Hood is decrotive and is not functional. It only uses around 3 yards.  I would also prefer it lined for warmth. It would be great if I could retain the pattern as well for future projects.  (I can sew I just cant figure out how to make it <frown>) without a predrafted pattern.  OR If someone with any drafting skills wouldnt mind drafting a pattern to my size I could play around with it and make my own (If I have a pattern to work with)
Knitting and Crocheted Items
Knitted scarf in Black (I cant knit yet be envy those who can)

Crocheted Victorian Reticule like this one http://www.knitheaven.com/vintagepatterns/23_LADYS_RETICULE_CROCHET.htm

Primitive Rageddy Ann doll (An example is in my wists)

Knitted sleeve cuffs http://www.spunmag.com/article/050410cuffs

I love this shawl and am willing to wait longer if anyone will make it for me. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CivilWarShawlKAL/  Im not picky about color.  Would be just happy to even have one.

A Nubia (Civil War Knitted Scarf). Red or Heather Gray would be lovely.  Im not sure if the link will take you directly there.  http://www.raggedsoldier.com/  If it doesnt Click on Needlework Necessities and Novelties and go to knitting patterns.

Sewn Items
Handwarmers like the ones offered at Hot Topic. Victorian Goth ones would be perfect.

Tote bag (I really need one of these lol)
Crazy Quilted Purse
Victorian capelet.  At least waist length please email for length.
Regency or Victorian era Reticule
Petticoat either knee or ankle length !!  (Im 5'5 email for length)
Supplies that are always needed
Im always needing thread for sewing and this always stays on my list. I go through alot of black and white but love new colors too!!  The more the merrier and gently used is welcomed too !!

2 yard lengths of eyelet trims and any color is welcome !!

Anything Betty Boop is welcomed
I also adore Charlie Chaplin !!

Scrapbooking items  (trims, paper, stickers anything!!).  Thanks Mlsocci74 more is welcome!!

Crafted Items
Bars of handmade soap (the kind that is made from lye).  I have always wanted to try it!!  Lavender, oatmeal, goats milk, citrus are great however any scents are welcome!!  Or soap supplies as I would love to learn how to make my own. Premade bars are appreciated as I have young children and am concerned with having lye in the house.    Thanks Dulcinea gonna take a break this round lol
Ive always been curious about those soap bombs.  My kids would probally love them !!  Also jars of bath salts would be fantasic as well.
A beaded Victorian Choker would be lovely.

Collected Items
I collect cookbooks from the victorian and ewardian eras !!  Or earlier if you can find them.
Godeys Ladies Book (In later years it was Godeys Ladies Magazine)!!!  Ebay has them frequently just type in Godeys and they will come up.  They were like the victorian Vogue Magazine of the day.  Petersons Magazines are great too.  You can usually get these pretty inexpensively and all years 1830-1890s are welcome !!  I paid anywhere from $4-$9 for the few I have.  Dont worry duplicates are fine.
Vintage Sewing Patterns!!  36 Bust is perfect.
Im especially trying to find a Jumper from 1948(?) Simplicity 2705.
Candles are great too.  Prefer either fruit and or spice scented ones or lavender (only floral scented one I like)

I claim frosty772 for a "wisty" surprise!  She sent me the most amazing trivets and I want to give something back!

I think this is my 2nd claim.  The 1st has been received.

I live in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.  I am a 40-ish (emphasis on "ish") year old, under-cover hippy freak mother of two boys ages 9 and 11.  I dabble in many different crafts, but don't do any of them consistently.

I love long skirts, long coats, embellished jeans, hoodies, and boots (I love boots!  I own over 30 pairs!)   I love white, black and red.  Not into pastels or frills!  My tastes vary from day-to-day.  Drives the husband crazy when it is gift buying time.  One day I'm extremely funky, the next very elegant.  Never know... So, wish list changes, ALOT!  But  my wist gives you a pretty good idea of my varied likes.

NUMERO UNO!  This hoodie:

Glass Blown Balls like this:

Knitted Socks

No Sew Calico Quilt

Sushi Bag (love the chopstick handles!)

Sling Bag (maybe from jean material???) (see wist)

Homemade Candles (Vanilla, Citrus, hazelnut, cranberry)

Scented Potholders/Trivets

Placemats like these only in a tan and burgundy color:

Tablecloth for my breakfast nook (PM me for size; it is smaller than a normal table)

Porcelin Pen(s) (for writing on china?)

Resin Kit

Beginning Chain Maille Kit

Candlemaking Kit

Soapmaking Kit

Glass Etching Kit

If you make me a kit, PLEASE give me good instructions.  I can be kind of dense with new things...duhhh...?

I know December 31st isn't over, but being a newbie organizer I thought I might need a bit of extra time to get, you know, organized.  So I've started up the Ongoing Wish Swap 30 if you want to get your questionnaire in.  Thanks to Grieney and Dulcinea for the months of fabulous organizing.  Hope to see everybody in the 30.  Smiley

Now back to bkrenning4

Need something crocheted?  I'll swap amis, afghans, shawls or whatever for a box of yarn.  Smiley
