Okay. So this was my first attempt with Fondant Icing. It turned out well...lets just say it was a learning experience. I had been warned by many of people, but many of websites, and even my Martha Stewart that fondant icing is not the easiest thing in the world to work with. But I did it anyway. For my best friend's 18th birthday.

Here it is:

What do you think?

The actual cake has four layers of lemon curd, then is covered with vanilla buttercream icing then covered with lemon-flavoured fondant icing. All recipes (minus the fondant which is store-bought) are Martha Stewart.

that looks really, really good.  i've heard that marshmallow fondant is easier to work with than the regular storebought stuff.  here's the website/tutorial:
