So, I'm in the market for a knitting bag.  I'm looking for something cool and funky that's big enough to stash a medium sized project in, with places for needles and little accessories (stitch markers, etc.)  Anyone know where I could find one?

For my birthday, my parents bought me a Lucky Brand bag, it's absolutely perfect. Plus it's super cute and fits all my notions, projects, needles and purse stuff with its super cool pockets. I don't know if you are able to splurge, but just because it doesn't say "knitting bag" on the label, doesn't mean it's not suitable.

I got a really cute Burton (as in snowboards) messenger bag from eBags.com that I used for quite a while.  Then I found someplace that had Jordana Paige bags on sale and got one of her messenger bags for a steal (seriously, it was something like 40% off).

Short version:  I love messenger bags as knitting bags.  Many pockets, many zippers, lots of places to put stuff.

you could of course ask someone who is good at sewing to design & make you one ;-)

I know this is an old post, but want to throw in that Jordana Paige has gorgeous bags http://www.jordanapaige.com/ the next bag I buy will definitely be one of hers.

I was in the market for a knitting bag before too so I ended up at a ROSS store checking out their tote bags. I found an ANDY WARHOL bag with the marilyn monroe picture on a bright orange bag - ITS HUGE!!!! It's doing a good job though.

I also have a smaller Levi's tote bag I got at ROSS also for when I need to carry around a smaller project.
