I'm pretty sure that's how she does it. That's how I do it.

I'm still a bit confused about adding the change pocket thingy...

Obviously you aren't stitching the smaller pocket as the initial directions indicate, but you are cutting it the same size...

Are you simply (I say simply - nothing is simple with me and sewing, yet)creating a pocket flap and sewing it where it will fall over the open pocket? or am I missing something?

Thanks for any additional help!

Exactly - I use a scrap to sew a tube, turn it, sew the edges shut, sew on velcro and sew it above the 'pocket' on the right hand side so that it falls over the 'pocket'.

Thank you both for the clarification. I'll have to try it out soon.

Thank you so much for your tut!  It saved my butt cos I promised someone a wallet and I had no idea even where to begin!  I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was! I just left the tut on my monitor as I cut and sewed--and now that I am done and I have looked at all of the awesome wallets everyone made, I am going to start on some more!  Great inspiration and variation, you guys! I loved all the colors, ideas, closures, tips, etc.!!!!  Kiss

This thread has been around for awhile! I finally made some wallets...neither one turned out super great, but I'm proud of them anyway. I figure if I make a few more, I'll get the hang of it.

Here is my first attempt-the pink was actually way too thick, so it turned out really bad. It's actually too small to fit money in!!! Whoops!

My 2nd, doesn't look as neat, since I used the same fabric for the inside and outside, but it was thinner and easier to manage. I added a snap to close-and this one fits money! Yay!

I couldn't resist making one with a couple of fat quarters from Denise Schmidt's new fabric line. After seeing how this one turned out, I don't know how I'll keep myself from making one from each of the 34 fabrics that came in the set. Oh, the temptation. Grin

And, let me join the countless others who've used the tuturial by saying thank you to its creator, hdogloveyou. Your project is the first one I chose to try on Craftster after lurking about for a few months....and, of course, now I'm hooked.  Wink
