Unfortunately I don't own any knitting needles and the largest hook i own is an 11mm, I tried using a small bottle which didn't work so I'm using a rectangular piece of card, which I found used as a substitute on another website. This is my third and final attempt though.

I left my entire stationary box at uni for the christmas period, I didnt think I'd need it but the cardboard method seems to be working out alright

I just finished one and it is much easier with a knitting needle. I don't know what size it was but it's a huge one I borrowed from a friend.

I found using thin wool (it was a possum/mohair blend) isnt the best lol, Im trying a thicker one now... maybe Ill finish before Christmas  Roll Eyes (its an easy pattern, I just have the brain span of a.. oh look, shiney)

this lady at the eye dr was making a broomstick lace baby blanket.  it was someting i was going to try but never did.
