Okay, I'm almost moved into my new house, the holidays are over, and I'm ready to begin signups for the 2nd "Let Me Make Your Craft" swap.  Are y'all ready to play?

If you weren't aware of the first one of these, here's what happens:  Gather up some stuff from your craft supply stash.  Ideally, this would be the stuff that you've been hanging onto because "there must be something cool to make with this..." but you've never gotten around to doing anything with it.  But feel free to include whatever -- for example, maybe you always see lovely yarn in the shop, but you don't knit or crochet.  You will send a box full of random supplies to someone else and that person will make stuff out of your supplies and send them back to you.  Everyone will have ample time, probably a month, to get inspired and make stuff.

Here's the gallery from the last time:

It's a really fun way to jump-start your creativity in new and different directions!

Is everyone just super-busy or is there really no interest in doing another swap like this?  Huh

It may help to know that by the time the signups are done and the partners are paired up and the supplies are mailed out, the due date for sending this stuff will be well into February.

But I can't *make* you want to participate  Wink

Melinda, I'm sure people are just super busy, that's all. I would love to sign up BUT..... I am scared to death that my creative mojo would freeze up and I wouldn't come up with a thing, it's just too much crafting pressure.  Undecided
I do love watching all the things that everyone comes up with.

I'm totally intimidated by the beautiful creations from the first "Let me make your craft" swap, but I'm willing to give it a try.  One question - is there a way we can specify (when we sign-up) what we absolutely cannot do?  I can't knit or crochet, and I'd hate to get someone's beautiful yarn and not be able to do anything with it!

Yes -- I will put in a question or two about things you make and things you'd like to receive and stuff like that -- it helps me with the pairing up of partners, and it helps each crafter have some idea of what their recipient might like.  It won't be very specific, and no one is required to make any particular thing of course, but it sometimes helps to have some direction.

Don't be intimidated!  Be inspired!  Grin  This swap is like magic -- it's so cool to receive items made from your own supplies that you recognize and you think "Well, I never would have thought to do *that*!"
