HEY ! That looks just like the dress I / my neighbor made (before I knew how to sew well) for my boyfriend's prom two years ago! I love the colors you chose - it really looks nice! Here is my dress. We definitely stood out at that dance !
You can't see the red stripe separating the two checkerboard ones, but it's there. Smiley

That dress looks awesome! I love the checkerboard pattern on it, it makes it stand out so much.


Before I finished school last year I actually went back in for a day and got all dressed up and had the photography teacher take some photos of me with my the teacher. I think she really liked it and I also got her some flowers. I was so grateful, I've never had a teacher as nice as her. It blew my mind she helped me so much after school.

And thank you so much everybody Smiley *is all embarrased* You guys are so nice.

what a beautiful job you did on the dress!  It looks exactly like what my sister has been looking at for bridesmaids dresses for her wedding.  Do you know the pattern number that you used?

ETA I think I found it...was it simplicity 5235?
