I made Puppy_girl's hat from this pattern:

The link was originally posted on craftster, but it was easier for me to find the actual site to give you, as I had it bookmarked.  It was a very easy pattern to follow, and the creator has some other cute things in her project list.  I intend to try her cable hat next.

I took pics of everything before mailing, so to save Puppy the trouble of taking another picture of the stocking, I'll post it for her:

Muria, I will enjoy everything! I'm putting up the ornaments today. Hanging the stocking up in my room and eating all the goodies, I will share with my family of course. The fudge is the best! I think it tastes way better than the hershey's cookie and cream candy bar. What recipe did you use for the sugar cookies? They are soft and not hard like when my mom makes them. Grin
And will be wearing the shirt tomorrow. Also the jewelry is great, i love the style.

It's the Wilton's rolled cookie recipe, but I changed it a wee bit:
1 cup butter, softened     1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar        1 egg
1 tsp baking powder         1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla                    3 cups flour

Cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir to mix.  DO NOT CHILL. Roll out, and bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 400 degrees Faranheit for 6-7 minutes, or until lightly browned.

I tend to undercook them just a bit. My favorite part of the recipe is that I don't have to chill the dough.  If you chill this dough, it will stick like crazy (I know this because I gave the recipe to my mother, and she didn't follow the directions).  Roll Eyes   I substituted half the sugar with brown sugar (and changed the leavening a bit as a result) to make it slightly less dry.  It's a great recipe for people who don't like to wait several hours for cookies (like me).  Smiley

I'm not a big one for sock monkies but that bag totally rocks!

I was at work this afternoon, so I'm just now getting caught up.  Great packages! (and the crochet hat just went on my "to do" list (which is getting longer by the minute)!

Great fabric on the hook roll!  Did you dye it, or did you buy it (anywhere else, I wouldn't think to ask that question)?

My goodness, so much great stuff went up today.  Let's see:  I love all of the stockings, Bluwave's shirt, the sock monkey bag, and all those nifty recipes.

Kmac, don't worry about not being able to make sweets for me.  I probably didn't need all those calories anyway.  And the bourbon balls would just make me stupid.

I recieved from Plumpossum yesterday.  I was on an all day shopping marathon with my daughter and out to dinner because Dec. is both of our Birthdays so we always celebrate.  Got home to a package with a wonderful stocking in it.  Hopefully I can get the pictures in this post correctly..

My stocking.  Love traditional xmas colors

Knitting needle case.  Love the colors.

Needle case open and my needles couldn't wait to get in there and snuggle down.

Stitch markers, never had any, throw away the scrape yarn tyed in knots.  Get fancy and professional looking.

Knitted slippers I  think.  Plumpossum said she would clue me in as to what the knitted item was after I recieved but I seem to remember my Great Aunt knitting these many years ago.  Two shots of them and If I am wrong I apologize.

a beaded bracelet

The bag the candy?? Candy did someone say candy??  Oops ate it.  Yummy!! Chocolate covered grams and buckeyes.  Anything chocolate and peanut butter is tops.    Anyway the bag still exists.  And one of the best things, three mini stockings to hang in my miniature log cabin.  Can't wait to find the xmas decorations and set it up.

Thank you Plumpossum what a wonderful stocking even if you did have an inside edge with my daughter.  Love it all.

Oooh... I know that candy store!  It's about 2 minutes from my house Grin (which is totally evil to have a candy store within walking distance, I'm tellin' ya!).

I love the color of those slippers, too!  Lots of rich fall colors in our gallery..mmm!

Do more of what makes you happy.

I love the blue, pointy stocking and the stitch markers with the key and the lock.

I wish my lipstick was a little more ... HALLUCINOGENIC!
