This rocks so much, is not even funny.  Srlsly.

Crafty boys are the best indeed!

ETA: I just wanna say, now that I recovered (*giggle*) that I really, really love this, man. I'm a Zelda freak and I'm in serious love...

Oh WOW!! These are absolutely amazing. He put so much work into the design of each one, I can hardly believe he didn't use any patterns. He did a FANTASTIC job.

I've been creating similar Perler bead projects for a while, as presents for my fiance & to decorate our place, like these (Question Mark Block box, and Coaster Set):

Great job on the coasters & everything - I like the images that he chose!  Nice to see that great minds think alike  Smiley

Yeah sarasvati, I think that was the box I showed him a while ago that gave him the inspiration, although he modified his box to suit his obsessive, meticulous personality to make it more "real" for him.

I think if anyone else wanted to make these, the cork board on the bottom of the coasters is important too, otherwise the water will just slip through the holes of the perler beads!

This is super awesome! Everything looks great. I would definitely use these for my drinks.

Crafty boyfriend made coasters from tiny melt beads
Used a model named Mario who did great deeds  Grin

He placed each bead with care and with strife
Creating each picture from Nintendo life   Shocked

Each perfect coaster all shiny and new
Has cork on the bottom to catch the glass dew  Tongue

A Koopa he made, as well as Shy Guy
Samus is there and Mario our small fry  Cool

There is Zelda and Link together at last
The Power Mushroom looking a blast  Shocked

To tie it all together and put away neat
A question box was built, to top off this great feat!   Cheesy

So take your bow, and know that we see
How much it took to create all of these   Wink

It is nice that your college schooling should be
Put to great use for your brother's gift, I see  Cry

Thank you Girlfriend for sharing his pride and joy
and for letting him be in the limelight since he is your boy toy   Kiss

Wow!  I know some guys at my work that would LOVE these!  Could you possibly ask your boyfriend to show where he got the patterns or a picture of each coaster?  If he doesn't want too, I totally understand.  Amazing job! I hit this rocks! Cheesy
