This is a recipe from my mom's friend that I've been making for years. Its the greatest, period. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I've been a bit apprehensive to share it... because its just that good. Anyways, ENJOY.
Also, its a bit more cake-y than bread-y- super moist and sticky. And, if anyone has the balls to try to veganize this, I'd be interested in the results.

1 1/4 c sugar
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2-4 bananas, very ripe (the blacker the better)
1/4 c sour milk (gross, I know- 1 tsp vinegar to 1/4 c milk)
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 c chocolate chips (I usually use at least a cup)

Lightly grease one large or two small loaf pans.
Cream butter and sugar together until well mixed. Add baking soda, vanilla and eggs. Beat well and add bananas. You can freeze very ripe bananas and when you're ready to use them just stick em in the microwave for a minute. They'll be nasty and slimy, but they work great. Beat well and add milk alternately with flour. Mix well and add chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until golden, gorgeous and a toothpick comes out clean.
Hide from your friends and family. Eat for every meal.
