Hey peeps.

I'm on the lookout for a relatively soft superwash woolen yarn. Preferably aran weight/worsted weight, so I can knit Central Park Hoodie. I thought of knitting it in Cascade superwash, but I hear its not really soft. I'm still open to it though, does it get softer in the wash?

I'm not interested in Debbie Bliss anything- the Cashmerino is soft but pills easily, and the Rialto aran is just too expensive for the yardage (about 1300y/1200m) I need.

The yarn I originally bought for CPH (Rowan's all seasons cotton) is telling me it wants to be a military jacket, so I need another yarn.

Any suggestions? Also, some good online shops would be nice, too!

Have you considered Knitpicks Swish?  It's a worsted weight superwash... and if you're really adventurous, you could buy some of the bare swish to dye yourself!

No, but I'll give it a go. I hope its soft(er) than Cascade 220 superwash.

the cascade 200 superwash is softer than regular cascade 220 but the knitpicks merino superwash merino is divinely soft! And it dyes very beautifully Smiley
