"This is ugly. Or is it?  Someone once thought it was cute, maybe the Craftster people will actually think it's NOT ugly, after all I see some pretty weird stuff on there sometimes.

I'm kind of going through the same thing. "Hmmm... blue, grey, and yellow dog with pink rhinestones... that's really ugly... or would they think it was wacky-crazy-kind-of-cute? Who the hell bought this thing in the first place anyway???"

Which is why I spent like three hours in the thrift store today... and that was before I hit the clothing section. O.O

Great project!! Also have a suspicion I'll end up making something bad worse... But what does it matter as long as it's fun!

Actually reminds me of a really inspirational textile art teacher who encouraged his pupils to go for ugly 'you should aim to make it ugly, that's when it gets really good'....

My roommate and I are so excited for this challenge! We are each entering our own project and it's the first challenge for both of us! We went and bought our ugly things yesterday!

I have the perfect thing for this... something a friend gave me about 5 years ago that I've been meaning to revamp.  Hopefully this will finally give me the motivation to tackle it.

I bought something at the thrift store yesterday, but I'm afraid it's not ugly enough Tongue Ah well, maybe if I alter it enough it won't matter too much. Although I probably have something else around that's pretty ugly.

Dragged the kids around the charity shops looking for ugly today. It was good fun and boy is there some ugly stuff out there. Think I have found a ugly duckling about to take photos before turning it in to a swan.

I am very new to Craftster and even more new to craft challenges.  However, I am a seasoned thrift store pro and I think I can manage this.  Just don't laugh too hard if my entry is reminiscent of some of your junior high craft projects, a la glitter and fringe.  We'll see what jumps out at me; maybe I'll come up with something awesome...

Not that I should be doing any extracurricular crafting, as I have a mile long list of Christmas crafts that I , er, um.... haven't started.
