I never find anything good at Goodwill.  I don't like how they color sort their clothes, it really bothers me for some reason.  Like the clothes are segregated, you know?

You can spend whatever you want on the extra materials you need for un-uglifying. Smiley The only spending limit is on the ugly item itself.

sorry to play devils advocate here, but if the only spending limit is on the ugly item itself then wouldnt useing something you were givin not really be going along with the challenge? you didnt buy it from a second hand store so there really no way of telling what it would go for. im really not trying to make a mess of all this but it just seems like the hunt for the item and the price tag on it are a big part of the challenge.
maybe im confused Huh

The scissors have learned to run on their own, I fear this might be fatal.

I think you can guesstimate how much something would sell for secondhand.  Honestly, we're not going to know if you really went to Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. and bought an item, anyway.

Shows what a stickler I am. I saved the receipt from the goodwill and took a picture of it.

I already have my items and started ripping them apart.  Smiley I got mine at a freebie sale in July, and have been wanting to recon them but just haven't had any ideas. But I sat down a couple days ago and drew out a sketch.

I am soooo exited about this challenge. I went to the goodwill today to find my hidden treasure.
I honestly couldn't come up with anything! I couldn't believe it. I was in the store for over an hour! I finally ended up with an idea and some items.
I might go back in a few days and try again.

Ugh, I know how that goes! I just got back from a lengthy visit to Goodwill and somehow managed to come home empty handed.  Sad

I was overwhelmed with ideas and couldn't make a decision...

Checked out Goodwill yesterday... Shockingly, I found nothing that was ugly yet inspiring! I'll have to hit up some other locations to see what I can get my crafty hands on!
