Ok so I procrastinated and didnt finish it till October 30th. But it turned out just how I wanted it. Sew cute. The pattern was made and I had to cut it a few different times to get it to fit right then had to lengthen the straps since it was cutting into him. The hat was made from a hat I found at a thrift store and cut up for a pattern. The "M" on top of the hat is felt. Cutest 18 month old walking through town! (they told me, im not just full of my son lol lol) Enjoy!

His hat looks a little wop sided but its because he wouldnt keep it on right.

Ha ha adorable.  All he is missing is a little make-up mustache  Wink  and maybe a big 1-up mushroom to carry around (ooh ooh that'd make an excellent treat bag! ...a latter thought seeing as how today is Nov. 2nd.)   Roll Eyes

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink

I love personal swaps for small stuff (including Hershey Kisses!)! PM me for happy fun rockin' good times!

Thanks for the compliments! I actually tried the mustache, felt, plastic from the store, and a painted one with eyeliner. All of them were a no go. He either took them off or kept rubbing his mouth so it came off. Oh well, we'll try again next time.  Roll Eyes

What a cute little boy! That's one awesome kid. I would say a mustache would have been the coolest, though. Kinds in mustaches tickles me funny, though.

"His hat looks a little wop sided but its because he wouldnt keep it on right. "

Did you mean to say wop or did you mean lop-sided?  I'm just asking because using WOP is very offensive to anyone of Italian-American descent and it is even more insulting since this is a Mario costume (Mario is a goldmine of Italian stereotypes).  WOP stood for "without papers" and was used to deride any Italian immigrant since they were the Mexican immigrants of their era (the early 20th century).

Please double check your spelling if you are going to use phrases that you aren't sure of or have only heard used verbally.
