Hi,
I have a question about the pipecleaners in the fingers. How do you guys go about that? Is there a way to keep them from moving around? I'm attempting to do fingers this time around. Thanks.  Smiley

Hi  "DancinInTheDark"
You should check this site http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/boy/.And scroll down to arms/fingers. She has a way of making the fingers flexible with chenille pipe cleaners. You don't have to add the stuffing unless you want to and make smaller for poppet sized fingers. Hope that works.

I was thinking of making a poppet with flannel but fusing it to a thin felt for stability. Don't know how well that would work but I might eventually try it.

I've started a discussion thread regarding a poppet swap of either adding to your collection Cheesy or making a poppet. Also if any interest in either making furniture or accessories in any media form for poppets.(Polymer clay, fabric, miniatures, etc ?)

"Liannan" Your Poppets are very cute, love the wigs!

"SKooKull" Your Fluttershy is very pretty. Love her eyes! I haven't seen the movie so don't  know what she's suppose to look like. But you did a great job making her.

"FreakieGeekie" Very darling Poppet! Love the outfit! But I don't know the character.

Yes I agree with everyone else about the Flannel It's not best to make dolls out of. Maybe reinforcing it with a thin interfacing might help.

About the fingers "DancinlnTheDark" Yes I know the fingers are hard. Practice, Practice & the more you do the better it is. I have a page in a book & it helped me 1 thing help me is to always have 2 stitches between each finger. I used 2 & sometimes 3 pipe cleaners together & twist them together maybe wrap thread around the ends so they don't poke through. Also it's OK to see some of the pipe cleaners on the top of the hand it looks like veins & such. Just look at your hand. That helped me. Hope this helps a little for you!

I finally got off my lazy butt and took pics of the newest punkin I made! It's Kili from the Hobbit, and I made him out of stuff in my college apartment when I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago.

Since I'm planning and shopping for a Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes poppet, does anyone have suggestions for silver cloth for the arm?  Huh I was looking at some silver Spandex, then being careful during stuffing to keep both arms the same size.

Tips on that and anything else on him would be appreciated!
