Here's our band costume from last year.  I wanted both boys to be girls, but John insisted on being Red Butler.  Here we are, from left to right, Red Butler, Violet, Rainbow Bright (my hubby), and Patty O'Green (that's me).  I sewed Red's cape, Rainbow's skirt, the shoulder poof-straps, belts, sleeves and leggings (fabric store stuff) to altered thrift store finds, and Erin (Violet) made the yarn wigs, which really should be an entry all their own - they were hard.  I ironed on the rainbow from a printer thingy.

I missedout on posting it for the contest last year, and thought I'd do it just before the 31st this year.

Sarah, who had no costume this year
2006 - Patty O'Green
2005 - cereal character "Quisp"
2004 - we were all 4 Abraham Lincoln
2003 - biblical extras from the movies

Your costumes are bright and fun looking for a band, but I still like the old stand by...a white paper plate with the eyes, nose and mouth cut out of it.  A rubber band will hold it on your head.  You can decorate the plate to fit any costume.  I know I'm plain, but it works for me!

I enjoy being a dame.
