Awesome hauls ladies!

2/18/12 - I no longer have the directions for wrapped pens, I lost them several years ago. To obtain them for yourself, do like I did, contact DMC threads directly and ask for them.

Oh goodness - fantastic packages, ladies!  The quality of not just the packages, but of the packaging is completely fantastic this time round.

Again, I'm blown away by the quality of goodies everyone is sending each other.

Ok, Picklesticks said I could post pictures of what she received (it's quite difficult for her to do that at the moment), so here's what I sent her :

Some yarn from the other end of the world...

A needle roll with the Anlh-Morpork Knitter's Guild Motto :
"Favete Linguis, ego numero" : "Shut up, I'm counting" (made by a Ravelry member, the only payment she asks is a donation to Knitters Without Borders)

The interfacing fabric for the needle roll

A mini lady luggage, with needlefelted feet :

And her own Nac Mc Feegle to put in her bag when she goes out, a silk/mohair swatch with needlefelting :

Plus a NcMcFeegle on a bookmark, which I forgot to photograph and remembered when the package was sealed.
And a pouch retracing the journey of A'Tuin (finally, the mystery is solved !) drawn by the Bursar (hm, well, the mystery remains after all).

She wanted useful things that did not take much space, ie pouches, so most things are useful and tend to be flat.
Apologies for the poor quality pf pics !

ye gods, I've been recruited!

The letter I received in the mail from Commander Vimes yesterday:

Congratulations on your successful application to join the Ankh-Morpork City Watch.

Please find enclosed your introductory pack, in which you will find:
- a city watch notebook, for the recording of crimes not covered by the guild laws.
- a regulation brown under-helmet cap.  Since you are joining us in autumn, we recommend you wear this to protect your scalp and ears from the cold metal of your copper helmet.
- regulation brown gloves.  These are finger-less to ensure they do not hinder your movements.  (NB: to any potential Nobbs' - these are not real wool so cannot and should not sold.)
- a city watch casual shirt with our coat-of-arms and motto proudly displayed for when you are off-duty.
- a watch badge.  This is a temporary one which will be exchanged for a real copper one once you report for duty.
- a bag to keep everything in.
All additional equipment will be provided when you report for duty at Pseudopolis Yard and take the Oath.

Yours truly,
   Commander Sir
      Sam Vimes

Thanks Raenef!

I look forward to the next one. Only got about 3-4 Pratchett's left to read, then I'm starting over & reading them all again! (except maybe Small Gods, that one didn't float my boat)
